I was fortunate to find a research opportunity after my second year at UC Berkeley up in the hills of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory with Dr. Yi Liu. I loved the greater sense of purpose and context provided by my undergraduate research experience, so I applied to graduate school. I decided to accept an offer from Northwestern University and joined Professor J. Fraser Stoddart’s group, where I spent my time researching organic materials based on metal-organic frameworks and charge-transfer complexes.

My future research will investigate novel electron-deficient compounds and utilize dynamic covalent chemistry to generate complex mixtures and architectures from simple combinations of small molecules.
